Last Friday there was a very special cruise. An original marriage proposal on board the saloon boat Elisabeth.
The future husband had discussed and arranged everything down to the last detail. There were special drinks on board, a ‘decorating team’ who had dressed the boat in advance, balloons of hearts, rose petals, a cocktail board and a delicious cake everywhere. The right music at entry was selected and also that during sailing.
Our saloon boat Elisabeth was at the Carré jetty well in time. The surprise was great when she arrived. Once on board, he immediately went to his knees to ask her to marry him. Meanwhile, the skipper was ready with the camera to capture the big moment. Of course she said YES and she loved the ring.
Then there was sailing, eating and laughing and enjoyed a beautiful cruise through the small canals of Amsterdam, such as the Reguliersgracht. The saloon boat was stopped for a romantic moment under the Skinny bridge.
After 1.5 hours, the Elisabeth moored again at the pier of Carré theater in Amsterdam. The couple then went home by taxi. A nice memory for later!
